St. Columbkille Catholic School Middle School Program (Grades 6-8)

Welcome to the Middle School Program at St. Columbkille Catholic School, where we prepare students for the academic challenges of high school and beyond while fostering their spiritual and personal growth. Our program for grades 6-8 is designed to provide a rigorous and supportive learning environment that encourages independence, critical thinking, and leadership.

Academic Excellence

Our middle school curriculum is structured to challenge students and prepare them for the academic demands of high school. We offer a comprehensive and rigorous education in core subjects such as language arts/literature, mathematics, science, social studies, and religion. Students will start out each day in homeroom before starting their 8-period day. During their core classes, they will meet with all academic teachers as well as participate in PE and have a period dedicated to study hall. Our teachers use diverse instructional methods, including collaborative projects, research assignments, and technology integration, to engage students and enhance their learning experience.

Faith Formation

Faith and spirituality are integral to our middle school program. Students deepen their understanding of Catholic teachings and traditions through daily prayer, regular Mass attendance, devotionals, and religious education classes. We encourage students to live out their faith through service projects and participation in church and community activities. Our goal is to help students develop a strong moral compass and a lifelong commitment to Catholic values all while deepening their relationship with Jesus.

Character Building

Middle school is a crucial time for developing leadership skills and character. Students will learn and live out the Boys Town Social Skills. We provide numerous opportunities for students to take on leadership roles within the school and community. Through student council, buddies, and various clubs and organizations, students learn responsibility, teamwork, and effective communication. Our emphasis on character education helps students build integrity, empathy, and resilience.

Parental Involvement

We believe that education is a partnership between school, family, and community. We encourage parental involvement through regular communication, volunteer opportunities, and family-oriented events. Our community-focused approach ensures that students receive the support and encouragement they need to succeed both academically and personally.

Supportive and Supportive Environment

At St. Columbkille, we are committed to creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and respected. Our dedicated staff and faculty provide personalized support and guidance, helping each student navigate the challenges of middle school and develop their unique strengths.
